We only had one day in Hue and had a lot to cram on. After spending the majority of the day at the Citadel and Imperial Palace in Hue, we only had 2-3 hours spare but wanted the what we felt was the impossible - to find someone prepared to drive us on motorbikes to a couple of key temples at very short notice.
We called into Motorvina half expecting to be laughed out of their office but we were given plenty of options and a real 'can do' attitude.
In no time we were helmeted up off down the streets of Hue heading out of town towards the absolutely gobsmackingly amazing Khai Dinh. If you ever get the chance to see this tomb, do. Incredible.
Now my wife and I were initially reticent about getting on the back of a bile in Vietnam, especially after spending 2 days dodging everything the downright frightening and chaotic roads of Hanoi, but Peter and Michael immediately put our minds at reat. They were excellent motorcyclists and wonderful guides. When you approach a roundabout in Vietnam, be afraid, but we grew more and more relaxed as our trip went on - so confident and in control were our guides.
The next tomb was Tu Duc and we arrived as they were closing. Peter and Michael had a word with the gate and we were in and marvelling at the sites of the lake and tombs.
It was starting to get dark now and we thought our tour was over but Peter and Michael went out of their way to ensure we also saw the Thien Mu pagoda - Hue's oldest Pagoda which they gave us a personal tour of.
These guys really care about providing a great service, giving great tours and excellent value for money and ensuring the safety of their customers.
I would definitely recommend Motorvina.com to anyone in Hie wanting a great experience with friendly and knowledgable young guides.
Thank you Peter, Michael and the whole Motorvina team!
