Noleggio Scooter
Reviewed December 6, 2016
CONSIGLIATI

The best tour guide I’ve ever had

If you travel with Motorvina, hope that Sherlock is your guide. He was a great driver, told heaps of jokes, took great photos, took us to delicious lunch spots and made the trip immensely enjoyable. The weather in the Hai Van pass was awful the day we travelled, but Sherlock made it worth it. He also took us out that night in Hue and showed us some local food and beer. The other Motorvina staff were also helpful and polite. The bikes were solid and affordable. Highly recommend this company.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Great day, good bikes, and FANTASTIC guide. Also one of the best prices we found, ~$25-30 with bag transport and petrol: Myself and a group of 4 backpackers wanted to take motorbikes on the Hai Van Pass. We had zero prior experience and were slightly concerned with safety/possibly inclement weather. The entire experience was wonderful. I've gotta give a huge thanks to our guide, Dung. Could not have been any nicer and really made the entire experience (good English as well). He's really knowledgeable if you're into that and generally just made a bunch of Americans pretty comfortable in the Vietnamese countryside. Motorvina came to our hostel with bikes, helmets and knee/ elbow pads. Kindly taught us how to use the bikes and test drove on some side streets before taking off. They also took our bags for a small fee and they were sitting at the shop in Hue right when we walked in. The actual trip was beautiful, we left central Hoi An and drove on some pretty roads and by the beach. The climb and descent along the pass were great. Roads were no problem. Stopped for lunch after the descent for a solid meal and a great view. We had already seen the Marble Mountains (also worth doing) so we had more time to take the longer route by the lagoon and through a bunch of island towns on the way to Hue. Aside from a couple minor self-inflicted riding hiccups, was definitely one of our best experiences here.

“Off any beaten path, excellent guided tour that will remain a life time memory”

We decided to do something a little different on our holiday in Vietnam. We flew to Hue to complete a three day tour. We didnt want to do the usual touristy Hue to Hoi An via Hai Van Pass, so we decided to go from Hue to A Luoi, A Luoi to Prao and then to Hoi An taking a detour to see the Hai Van Pass. We took in the local scenery and tombs on the first day, the second day was on the Hoh Chi Minh trail, which is through mountains and jungles, which is not for the faint hearted, the final day was through a number of the protected ethnic communities and villages, culminating in the splendid drive to the pass and the road to Hoi An via Da Nang It was amazing, but the journey was made special and to be honest, do-able, because of or excellent guide, Giang Luong. He made the tour, fluent in english, we saw places you would never see without extensive research, some of the best local food we have eaten and our safety was his number one concern. We covered about 360Km in a trip that will stay with me for a lifetime. Why MotorVina, the bikes were in great condition, good value for money and most of all in hindsight because they have Giang Luong as a guide
